Description
The calcium sulfonate thickener has inherent protection against rust and extreme pressure (EP) properties. Compared to conventional soap-based thickeners, calcium sulfonate excels in water-saturated environments, providing rust protection between long relubrication intervals. The inherent EP properties exhibit great stability in the presence of water, allowing a balance between wear protection and corrosion resistance.
Applications: continuous casting, hot rolling mill roll bearings, rolling mill bearings, support rolls, press and headstock, wood pelletizer roll bearings. Advantages: excellent extreme pressure capacity, oil separation control, reliable lubrication up to 232°C, water absorption without loss of consistency, extended relubrication intervals, sealing capacity.
