Introduction
The VMX® 3D Monitoring Sight Glass is designed to provide an accurate, convenient solution for lubricant inspection. With a crystal-clear view, intelligent indicators, and integrated sampling system, VMX enables early detection of corrosion, wear debris, and fluid degradation.
Description
Made from impact-resistant acrylic and featuring a cylindrical 3D design, the VMX sight glass allows clear observation of oil levels through a 48 mm view diameter. It includes a corrosion indicator—a copper pin in direct contact with the oil—whose appearance changes in response to fluid aggressiveness, based on ASTM D130 standards. A built-in magnetic plug captures ferromagnetic particles, offering insight into internal component wear.
Both the corrosion pin and magnetic plug are removable for detailed inspection, facilitated by the rotating sight glass design. Additionally, the VMX is equipped with a push-in sampling valve connected to the oil’s dynamic zone via an internal aluminum pitot tube, enabling representative sampling for laboratory analysis with minimal intervention.
