Specifically designed to combat varnish formation, an insoluble contaminant that degrades the performance and reliability of lubrication and hydraulic systems, this unit adheres to ASTM D7843 guidelines. Description
The technical differentiator of this unit is its synthetic resin and cellulose filter media, which employs a depth filtration method to ensure effective varnish removal. Additionally, the element integrates an Water Removal function, protecting the fluid against moisture-catalyzed degradation. Although the standard element has a filtration efficiency of 10 micron, Beta $\ge 2$, the primary focus is the capture of oil oxidation byproducts that cause varnish. An essential safety feature is the automatic pump shutdown when the filter reaches the saturation limit, indicating the immediate need for cartridge replacement.
The drive is provided by a pneumatic Double Diaphragm Pump, noted for its high volume capability at low air pressure and wide compatibility with various fluids, being inherently safe for operation without electrical power. The air supply (1.4 to 8.3 bar) is treated and conditioned by the Lubrifil Kit, an assembly that filters, regulates, and lubricates the compressed air. Robustness and mobility are ensured by the AISI 304 Stainless Steel structure and the reinforced casters (2 fixed and 2 swivel with lock, 12” diameter), allowing easy relocation. The unit uses Quick Couplings and 2-braid steel hydraulic hoses for secure and fast connections.
