Introduction
FilterTechnik’s Portable Particle Analysis System offers an advanced solution for on-site and lab-based oil condition monitoring. Leveraging image-based particle counting, water and degradation sensors, the system provides reliable data for identifying contamination sources, tracking wear trends, and preventing machinery failure.
Description
Unlike traditional laser-based systems, this portable unit uses digital imaging and advanced algorithms to classify particles with high precision according to ISO 4406, NAS, and SAE standards. It detects specific wear types — fatigue, cutting, sliding, and fibers — enabling accurate root cause analysis. Air bubbles and droplets are visually identified and excluded from the count, ensuring consistent and dependable results even in challenging environments.
Beyond counting and classifying particles, the system features TAN Delta sensors for remaining oil life estimation, precise water detection, and an internal stepper motor pump capable of handling a wide viscosity range. The spider-style infographic and touchscreen software interface enable fast interpretation of results, making it ideal for predictive maintenance and industrial quality control professionals.
